“A Beautiful and Inspiring Vegan Masterpiece” Love, Peace, and Vegetables is far more than a cookbook. It is a celebration of vibrant, nourishing, and soulful living. The book itself is a gorgeous hardcover work of art, filled with stunning photography and heartfelt wisdom. The recipes are creative, nourishing, and deeply satisfying. Marcela’s love and passion pour out of every page, making food preparation not only healthy, but inspired.

“Most Beautiful Reverence for Compassionate Living” This is by far one of the most beautiful books I have come across, created with so much reverence and attention to detail. The recipes are delicious, but the heartfelt writing, information, and gorgeous art elevate it beyond any cookbook.

The Artwork
Four Years, and a Painter in Bali

The art in this book was made by Made Griyawan, a Balinese painter working in the Batuan tradition, a form that has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. In Batuan, a painting is not decoration. It is a spiritual transmission, made slowly and with intention, which is the same way this book was made.
We worked together for four years, until the day the book was inaugurated.
Twenty-one Collector's Editions were each paired with one of his original paintings and offered at $1,500. All twenty-one found their homes.
What they raised went to Made and to the school where he teaches Batuan painting, without charge, every Sunday, to the children of his village. He bought tables for them to work at, and frames for their finished paintings, so their work could be shown not only in his studio but in galleries, where families and neighbours gather to stand in front of a child's painting and see a living tradition carried forward.
Two of his original paintings remain, works that did not appear in the book. They have never been offered for sale. If you would like to know about them, write to me at info@marcela.love.
“This is not just a book… this is an EVENT!” When I ordered a veggie cookbook, I had no idea I was receiving something so extraordinary. This book far exceeded my expectations. It is filled with amazing recipes and healthful knowledge, but what makes it truly special is the artistry, exquisite imagery, and beauty that make it a true coffee table treasure. This book is worth every cent and would make an amazing gift for someone special. Thank you, Marcela, for creating such a beautiful work.

Choose Your Edition
One beautiful book. Two ways to bring it home.

First Edition
$125
A large-format hardcover whose cover carries the same artwork as its jacket, so the book is beautiful open or closed. Cook from it on the counter, then leave it where you will see it: on the coffee table, or on an altar, where the word LOVE becomes a daily reminder to care for yourself. A book to use, to display, and to give.

Collector's Edition
$575
The same book in its rarest form. Beneath the same jacket, the case is bound the old-world way, in blue linen with the title gilded in gold. Making it meant stopping the press. Signed by hand, individually numbered, one of only sixty-four in the world, and never to be reprinted.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the two editions?
The book itself is identical: the same 444 pages, the same photographs, artwork, poetry, and recipes, printed on the same forestry-free paper with non-toxic inks, and both arrive in the same dust jacket. The difference is what is underneath. On the First Edition, the cover carries the same artwork as the jacket. On the Collector's Edition, the case is bound the old-world way, in blue linen with the title gilded in gold, and making it meant stopping the press.
Why is the Collector's Edition limited to 64 copies?
It was produced once, in a run of sixty-four, and will not be reprinted. Each copy carries its own number and Marcela's signature. Twenty-one of those sixty-four were paired with an original painting by Made Griyawan and offered at $1,500. Those have all found their homes. What remains are the signed and numbered volumes themselves, and when they are gone, no further copies will be made. The First Edition remains available.
Can I still buy one of the original paintings?
Not the ones that were paired with the book. Two of Made Griyawan's original works remain, paintings that did not appear in the book and have never been offered for sale. If you would like to know about them, write to Marcela directly at info@marcela.love.
Which edition should I choose?
Neither is the better book. Both are made to the same standard, and readers keep both on coffee tables, on altars, and open on the kitchen counter. Choose the First Edition if you want a beautiful book to live with and cook from. Choose the Collector's Edition if what matters to you is owning a signed, numbered copy, one of only sixty-four in the world.
Is the First Edition lower quality than the Collector's Edition?
No. The paper, the printing, the photographs, and the jacket are the same in both, and both are made to the same standard.
The Collector's Edition costs more for two reasons. It is bound the old-world way, in linen with the title gilded in gold, and making it meant stopping the press. And only sixty-four were ever produced.
Is this a raw food book?
It is a live food book, which is not quite the same thing. "Raw" can mean raw meat, raw milk, raw dairy. Live food is one hundred percent vegan and still alive, prepared without cooking so that the food keeps its enzymes and its nutrition intact.
It is also not sprouts and salads. Live food here means rawvioli, pizzas and burgers, breads and crackers, nut cheeses and butters, jams, cakes, and ice cream, alongside juices, elixirs, and tonics.
The book is mostly live food, and it also includes a full chapter of wholesome cooked vegan dishes. The free sample includes the complete table of contents, so you can see every recipe before you decide.
Do I need special equipment for the recipes?
Some recipes call for a high-speed blender, a dehydrator, or a juicer. Many others need nothing beyond an ordinary kitchen. You do not need to own everything to begin.
Are the books signed?
Every Collector's Edition is signed by hand and individually numbered as part of the edition. The First Edition may also be signed by request. Simply note it at checkout.
Can I request a specific copy number of the Collector's Edition?
Yes, if the number you would like is still available. Choose it from the edition number dropdown at checkout, or write to me at info@marcela.love.
Where is the book printed?
Both editions are printed in the United States, on forestry-free paper with non-toxic inks. Making the book close to home was a deliberate choice, and it is part of what it means for a book about conscious living to be made consciously.
How is the book shipped?
Every copy is packed by hand in a recycled cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap, and sent with tracking. Delivery takes seven to ten days, though most orders arrive within five.
The books live in a climate-controlled room off my garage, and every single one is packed by me, by hand, with so much love that I think you will feel it when you open the box.
If your book is travelling somewhere very rainy, write to me before it ships and I will add extra protection.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International shipping usually runs between $100 and $150 depending on the destination. Any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer, as they are set by your own country rather than by me.
What if my book arrives damaged?
I will replace it, at no cost to you. If your copy arrives damaged, wet, or defective, or if you receive the wrong item, email me at info@marcela.love within seven days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the book and its packaging. Once your request has been reviewed, a replacement will be sent as quickly as possible.
Book sales are otherwise final and are not eligible for returns or refunds.
